Guest Post Guidelines: What Inspires You?

What inspires you? If you’re an indie author writing in a genre that would be of interest to my readers, I’d love for you to share your answer with them.

You can interpret this question in several ways. What inspired you to become a writer? What’s the inspiration behind your latest release or your current WIP? Who or what inspired your main character or villain? Where do you draw creative inspiration?

Whatever this question means to you, I invite you to write a guest post about it and share it with my audience. I’ll also share your post with my social media network and my mailing list, and I would ask that you be a good guest by doing the same.

This invitation is open to both indie and tradpub authors in the following genres:

  • Panormal romance or fantasy
  • Urban or contemporary fantasy
  • Dark fantasy
  • Steampunk
  • Horror
  • Thriller
  • Mystery

I’d also love to hear from you if you write poetry in any of the speculative genres, especially horror poetry. And if you’re not sure whether you meet the genre criteria, feel free to ask.

Please keep your post between 400 and 1,000 words. Send it in an attached Word doc (NOT docx) or rtf file to jmbauhaus@gmail.com. You can also attach an image of your cover and your author photo, and include a short author bio and links to your website or blog, book, and social network accounts.
